Character Information
Name: Keaton
Series: Fire Emblem Fates
Appearance: A pretty snazzy dresser all things considered.
Age: No canon age, looks to be early to mid twenties.
Canon Point: Post Revelations
Canon History: "I may have a horrible sense of direction, but I'm a great judge of character!"

Personality: On first meeting Keaton it's clear to see he's a proud person, striving to act as a leader of the wolfskin should. He puts on (or at the very least tries to) a cool and collected air and attempts to act as such. There's no need for him to have friends, and there's no reason he should hold onto the cool items and treasures he comes across. No getting excited, cheering, anything like that. He's quick to cover for himself if he shows any self-doubt or if anyone "gets the wrong idea" about him, namely if they think he's being nice or wanting to be friends. He's quick to try and spin things around on other parties, making them out to be the ones looking for friendship when he really doesn't care. "But I guess if YOU want to be friends, I can deal."

Sadly, as a wolfskin, Keaton has a built in lie detector that throws him off whenever he tries acting outside how he really feels. His tail wags excitedly when he's happy, droops down when he's sad, bristles and stands on end when he's angry or startled- And so on. There are numerous occasions where Keaton tries to act aloof, only for it to be pointed out that his tail has outed how he really feels. Even when first meeting Corrin in the Conquest route, Keaton's wagging tail tells Corrin how happy he really is to join up with their group. Of course that doesn't stop Keaton from trying to explain why his tail is acting how it is, though this never goes well. As such, whether he wants to or not, Keaton is the sort of person who wears his heart on his sleeve.

Though really, even outside of his tail Keaton is an expressive person who isn't afraid to show his emotions, especially once he starts getting to know someone. Numerous supports have him speaking honestly and earnestly with people, referring to people as his buddies and telling them just what it is he admires and looks up to about them. He is shown to sulk, act childishly and even be brought to tears, namely during his time with Hana and her judging his treasures. His support with Rinkah has him outright telling her that he thinks she's cool for being a lone wolf, which he admits to not knowing about despite previously saying he's a lone wolfskin who hates friends. There are also occasions where Keaton is called too friendly from the get go, due to him attempting to drum up conversation with Beruka who's a very strong, silent type. While he protests otherwise, he can't stand seeing others down or upset and will try his best to cheer people up even without fully understanding the situation they might be in. This might involve him sacrificing his own happiness for the sake of others... Basically in short, though Keaton makes a habit of being contrary to himself, in reality he's an upbeat, social person who looks out for and cares for his friends very dearly.

Speaking of his friends, Keaton is deeply loyal and will do anything for those he considers himself close to. This includes throwing away his own possessions if he thinks it might make a person happier to be around him, as well as fighting and attacking others who threaten them. He has quite a savage side to him, unafraid of threatening others with death or striking out if he, his friends or his pack are in danger. In the Birthright route, once one of his pack members is attacked and killed, Keaton becomes incredibly angry and swears Corrin's team shall die for what they've done. "Now I'll take your life in exchange for my friend's." Keaton also confesses a fascination with blood in his support with Peri, getting a thrill from seeing the blood of his prey. In their S Rank he goes further, admitting to wondering what his allies blood looks like whilst scoping out their weak points. While Keaton is on the whole pleasant and gets along with Corrin's army, his bloodlust cannot be overlooked.

It's hard to talk about Keaton without mentioning his love of all things gross, disgusting and stomach churning. He has amassed a number of treasures that would make most reel back at the sight, or smell, of them. Dead bats, human remains, all kinds of insects, broken ornaments, bruised and rotting fruit- The list goes on. What's more he's all too eager to share these with other people. In doing so this brings to light how Keaton is a little in the dark in regards to how humans act. Numerous supports have people telling him humans don't enjoy such disgusting things, or even Keaton saying himself that he's heard humans like or dislike certain items or areas. While his time in Corrin's army has certainly helped him grow used to how humans act, it's still an area he needs work on.

Finally, tying into his lack of knowledge on humans, his overall intelligence is a little... Lacking. In all Keaton is a simple person, having trouble with directions and finding certain words and meanings hard to understand. He has to outright ask Rinkah the definition of the word "independence" when she first uses it, and has trouble seeing the bigger picture in regards to Nyx permanantly looking like a child. "That means you can act a fool and no one can ever get mad! No one will ever say "Act your age," because you ARE!" Though a few of his supports consider him a simple soul, what he lacks in general knowledge he makes up for by being a fantastic hunter. He's quick to teach others ways to improve their own hunting, telling them of his techniques and ideas before showing them what he means.

Abilities: As a wolfskin, Keaton can use a beaststone to transform into a large, wolf like creature. In this form he's very powerful, being able to swing his large hands and arms about for heavy damage whilst also becoming more durable. This makes him an excellent tank, allowing him to be thrown into the thick of things and make it out relatively unscathed. Keaton also packs a number of skills that further increase his survivability and damage potential, such as Beastbane (bonus damage against beast enemies) and Grisly Wounds (reduce enemy HP by 20% after a battle). Additionally he has Odd Shaped and Better Odds which increase his damage/heal him on odd numbered turns. (Since turns aren't really a thing though I won't be doing anything with these.) Finally he has Collector which is for flavour more than anything, allowing him to acquire three random minerals/foodstuffs. (Again, won't be doing anything with this. Plus he picks up enough junk by himself anyway.) His growth rates further cement the idea of him being made to tank damage and dish it out just as well, with Keaton excelling in HP and Strength with an above average Defense.

Outside of transforming, being a wolfskin means Keaton also has an impressive nose on him and great hearing. Granted he mostly uses his nose to sniff out/appreciate disgusting, rancid smelling "treasure" but here we are.

For suggesting nerfs, I'd like for Keaton to retain his full strength while transformed at the cost of him gradually tiring out the longer he remains in his other form. When his stamina drops low enough he will revert to his human form. Attempting to transform despite his poor stamina, or trying to push himself to stay transformed for longer will end with him soon being forced back to his human form and collapsing as a result. While resting will help Keaton build his strength back, if he collapses as a result of being transformed for too long he will need to wait at least one day before he will be able to transform again.

Inventory:
- His default outfit.
- Beaststone, a small stone that allows Keaton to transform into a wolf when used.
- Three vulneraries, restorative items which restore a small amount of hit points.
- Bat fang necklace. Cool to look at, prickly to wear.
- Plate shards, dust bunnies, hairballs and other small pieces of junk he's no doubt shoved into his pockets to show off in the blink of an eye.
